Veterans' Resource Center

Veterans' Resource Center

In 2018, the SAM Center, Pegasus Farms: Military Family Center, local Rotary clubs and the local Congressional office began to national best practices for delivering veterans' services. A concept paper was developed to guide our community towards a more robust and coordinated veterans' ecosystem. The concept paper called for a central hub of veteran activity and coordinated efforts to support our veteran community.

Serving Area Military and Veterans' is proud to bring forward the largest part of the concept paper,. The Veterans' Resource Center will serve as a national model for assisting veterans in a community. Located just a few miles from the Ohio Veterans' Memorial Park and close to the local highway, the VRC is in a semirural but accessible location.

The 11,300 square foot facility sits on 11.5 acres and features a 300 seat outdoor pavilion along with covered entrance. The facility will host educational seminars, therapy programs, resource fairs and more. It is an opportunity to show our community's love to our veterans.

Thru September 2023, the facility will be leased as we conduct a capital campaign. Our hope is to own the facility mortgage free. We have a $250,000 match and hope to raise a total of $600,000. This will pay for the facility, a new roof (when needed), updated air conditioning, french drains, parking lot maintenance and outdoor upgrades.
