The Commissary

Providing outreach through food assistance

The SAM Center houses a free commissary (pantry) of non-perishable food items, meat, personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, paper products and baby / toddler necessities including food and diapers. The food distribution offers 2 weeks worth of food and occurs the 1st and 3rd Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A public pantry is available the 2nd Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.

Five-day food bags

In addition to the commissary Serving Area Military offers five-day emergency food bags that contain enough nutritional supplies to last an individual for roughly five days. These kits are distributed at locations throughout Northeast Ohio.
