Lodging Kits

Helping homeless veterans transition to housing

SAM Center partners with the VA HUD/VASH program to provide a basic household set up for veterans and military families facing housing struggles or transitioning from homeless shelters. Although they now have a roof over their heads, they still are in need of basic household items to make their house a home. These kits include but are not limited to, dishes, silverware, linens, pots/pans, and toasters.

A lodging kit allows the transitioning veteran to cook, clean, bathe and wash. It is a way to ensure the veteran has the ability to live on their own. 

Thankfully we have an increase in veterans transitioning into permanent housing. This means we are in need of more items for lodging kits. We are accepting donations of new unopened items such as:
